Tim has proven to be dynamic leader at NM Insurance since joining us in 2017. As Head of Development – Major Alliance Partners, Tim is responsible for key partner relationships including those with our brand partners and dealer partners. Tim has worked within insurance and financial services for 12 years, previously holding senior development and sales roles within the motorcycle and retail industries. “Our products and services ensure people live their passion and enjoy the lifestyle they love without the worry,” says Tim. “I also have a strong passion for motorcycles and the motorcycle industry having worked within it for a number of years.” Away from work, Tim is a keen motorcyclist who loves nothing better than venturing out on his motorcycle whenever possible.

Glen has been with NM Insurance for 10 years and has had an incredible impact on our business over that time. Prior to joining NM Insurance, Glen had a decade of experience within financial services, and within the marine and leisure industries in sales and development. Now an engaging and dynamic leader at NM Insurance, Glen brings all his passion for insurance and the products we protect to his current role as Head of Client and Market Development. “Knowledge drives the passion all of us have here at NM Insurance,” says Glen. “I’m inspired to drive positive change and support our partners and customers. My past background in the marine and leisure industries has helped me to excel at delivering my passion through our products. Most of my spare time is spent on the water fishing, diving, and skiing and I have owned and ridden sports and off-road bikes for many years. I live and breathe what I do.”

Peter is our engaging Head of Claims and has an impressive depth of claims knowledge and expertise. With over 40 years insurance industry experience, Peter held numerous senior roles across claims and underwriting with both insurers and underwriting agencies, prior to joining NM Insurance in 2014. “I’m passionately committed to offering our customers a great claims experience that is efficient, honest and empathetic,” says Peter. “At NM Insurance we pride ourselves on offering a fair and professional claims service that exceeds market expectations. We want to be there to support our customers through the claims process when they need us most.” Away from work, Peter is passionate about sailing and can often be found out on the water on his boat.

A qualified lawyer in both Australia and the United Kingdom, Lesley has 17 years legal and compliance experience. Prior to joining NM Insurance in 2019, Lesley’s career was split equally between private legal practice for insurance and financial services clients and in-house legal and regulatory roles. Having specialised in financial services regulation throughout her career, Lesley has advised organisations of all shapes and sizes from global insurers to national brokerages and underwriting agencies, to fintechs, regtechs and start-ups. “I’m a business, consumer and regulatory advocate all in one,” says Lesley. “Put simply, sound legal, risk and compliance management provides a competitive advantage, and is key to responsible enterprise, brand maintenance and sustainable growth.” Lesley is a member of the Law Society of NSW and the Law Society of England and Wales.

Lynne has been with NM Insurance since the very beginning and is proud be our longest serving employee. With over 25 years of financial services experience, Lynne began her career in banking before making the move into insurance. Lynne now leads our finance and human resources teams, and says she is equally passionate about both areas. “I am driven to ensure NM Insurance meets all of its financial and regulatory obligations at all times,” says Lynne. “I want to help improve how we do business with our customers as we continue to grow and to support our amazing team members to grow with us.”

A passionate marketing leader with over 15 years of experience, Neha’s expertise spans all facets of marketing including strategy, brand management, communications, sponsorships and events. Prior to joining NM Insurance in 2019, Neha held senior roles at leading Australian retailers, telecommunications and financial services companies, specialising in insurance for the last five years. “I’m constantly inspired by the passion of all my NM Insurance colleagues,” says Neha. “Their deep knowledge and dynamic engagement make NM Insurance who we are.” Neha holds a Masters in Communication and Media Studies, Bachelors Degree in Mass Media (Advertising) and a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations. 

Lianne is a dynamic and passionate leader of our New Zealand operations. With an insurance career spanning 20 years, Lianne has a strong background in underwriting, claims and corporate insurance account management. Specialising in marine insurance for nearly a decade, Lianne’s previous experience spans a broad range of insurance categories. Since joining NM Insurance in 2017, Lianne has been vital in leading her team to grow and develop our New Zealand operations. “I am really privileged to be a part of the success and growth of NM Insurance,” says Lianne. “We offer customers the security and support of trans-Tasman scale with the engaged connection to a local New Zealand footprint.” Lianne sits on the NZ Insurance Council Marine Committee panel and is an Associate of the ANZIIF.

As our technology and innovation lead at NM Insurance, Dan lives and breathes digital transformation. Dan started at NM Insurance in 2017 as West Australian Business Development Manager, having spent the prior eight years working within finance broking and marine dealership management. After leading digital projects such as app developments and website and intranet builds, it was a natural progression when Dan was promoted to Head of Experience and Technology in 2021. “Technology and innovation are a huge passion of mine, says Dan. “I love technology trends and the way technology can streamline our day-to-day activities, especially in the workplace. Efficiency is huge to me, and I have a passion for finding innovative and more productive ways to reach common goals. The idea that something I create, or implement, can impact on someone across the country is what drives my passion for technology.”

With over 25 years of analytics, research and customer insights experience, Nick’s dynamic enthusiasm and professional expertise is impressive. Nick has specialised in insurance portfolio analytics and business research for more than 15 years, having previously worked in analytical roles across various other industries including superannuation. “I’m passionate about all things analytical,” says Nick. “We put our customers at the forefront of everything we do at NM Insurance. Analytics provide us with valuable insights that can help us grow and evolve, to better serve our customers and their insurance needs.” Nick holds a Masters of Science (Mathematics and Statistics) from Macquarie University.

Chris leads our Nautilus Marine Private Pleasurecraft team and has an unmatched category knowledge and expertise. With over 30 years of insurance industry experience, Chris held positions at organisations including Suncorp, QBE, RACQ, and Allianz before joining NM Insurance in 2008. “Leading the Nautilus Marine Private Pleasurecraft portfolio allows me to combine my passion for insurance with my love of boating,” says Chris. “Helping our customers and broker partners find the right insurance solutions inspires me.”

Peter leads Commercial Hull & Liability for NM Insurance and has a wealth of marine insurance expertise and knowledge. With over 35 years of general insurance experience, Peter specialises in all classes of marine including commercial hull, liability, cargo, and carriers. Peter has previously held senior underwriting and portfolio management roles at companies such as Zurich, Allianz, QBE, and Munich Re. “I have always been very passionate about marine insurance,” says Peter. “My role at NM Insurance allows me to translate my passion into providing our customers with the right insurance solutions for them.”

Barry joined NM Insurance in 2019 as Head Of Underwriting for Motorcycle and Caravan Lines, moving over to Head of Claims in 2022. With an insurance career spanning over 30 years, Barry has a strong background in both underwriting and claims. Barry has held numerous senior positions with insurers, brokers and underwriting agencies. “It is a great feeling knowing that we can have a positive impact on the customers we are here to assist,” says Barry. “Being passionate about our products means that I enjoy what I do every day.” Barry is an Associate of the ANZIIF and studied at Deakin University. Away from work, Barry is a keen motorcyclist who loves getting out there on the open road as much as possible.

Chris leads our Nautilus Marine Insurance Industry and Commercial teams and has over 25 years of insurance industry experience. This includes senior underwriting and portfolio/product management positions with Berkley Insurance Australia and Allianz Australia. A casualty insurance specialist Chris also has experience in starting up liability insurance portfolios for both underwriting agencies and insurance companies. Since joining NM Insurance in 2020, Chris has worked closely with our broker partners to achieve growth. “I’m passionate about providing excellent customer service and advice to our brokers,” says Chris. He is a Senior Associate of the ANZIIF.

Sangeeta has 25 years of insurance experience, specialising in marine insurance for the last 20 years. Sangeeta’s extensive knowledge of marine underwriting has been instrumental in developing the Proteus portfolio and she is a veritable encyclopedia of Proteus products and service offerings. With a deep understanding of compliance requirements of operations and her commitment to high-quality customer service, Sangeeta leads the way in building and maintaining our Proteus customer relationships. “The key focus of my career has always been based on customer relations and underwriting a profitable portfolio of marine products,” says Sangeeta. “I’m proud to work for a company that shares my values of integrity and customer relations and provides on-going opportunities to learn and grow.” Sangeeta is a Senior Associate of the ANZIIF.

After many years of success within the fiercely competitive outbound travel market, Andrew joined the NM Insurance team in 2022 to lead commercial partnerships. He has an incredible depth of experience across sales, marketing and delivering growth within organisations. Andrew also gained a depth of insurance knowledge, during his time as an advisory board member for a leading travel insurance provider. “I’m thrilled to be part of NM Insurance marketing team,” says Andrew. “NM Insurance encompasses a stable of trusted insurance brands, which all enjoy strong support from both our growing customer base and distribution partners alike. I’m excited to engage with our customers and support our partners to showcase their brands to our engaged audience. Most importantly, I’m passionate about promoting all that is great within the marine, caravan and motorcycle industries.” Away from work, you’ll find Andrew relaxing with his family out on the water or camping somewhere around Australia…the more remote and wild the location, the better!

Steve joined the NM Insurance family in 2023 after 13 years at Shannons Insurance, where he held numerous positions in underwriting and leading teams. “My role at NM Insurance allows me to bring my passions for motorcycles and caravans into my work life on a daily basis,” says Steve. “I love being able to share my insurance knowledge and passion for the products we protect with my colleagues and our customers.” Away from work, Steve is a motorcycle enthusiast with a passion for collecting motorcycles. He is also the proud owner of a vintage 1960’s caravan.

Andrew commenced working in the insurance industry in 1995 after graduating from Waikato University with an Economics and Finance degree.

Over the last 30 years, Andrew progressed his insurance career working with some of the largest national and international insurance companies by taking on a range of different roles involving Underwriting, Risk management, Business Development, Broking and General Management. This experience allowed him to work overseas in London as an accredited Lloyds broker at Lloyds of London, the oldest insurance organisation in the world,

More recently Andrew was Managing Director and CEO of Rosser, a specialist Underwriting Agency in Hamilton. Throughout his career, Andrew has demonstrated a strong commitment to improving customer solutions and experience, managing complex risks and building long term relationships by always acting in the clients’ best interests.

Andrew takes a very active interest in the insurance industry. In particular, he is currently a board member for NZUAC, a non-profit representative industry body that represents insurance underwriting agencies and cover holders within the NZ insurance industry.

Andrew also served as a Commercial Insurance Committee member on the Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ) between 2005 – 2008.

Other industry participation and professional activities include being a member of the Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand (IBANZ).

Benjamin leads the Proteus Marine Insurance division for NM Insurance and has extensive marine insurance expertise and knowledge. With 24 years of general insurance experience, Benjamin specialises in all classes of marine including cargo, carriers, commercial hull and marine liability. Benjamin has previously held underwriting and relationship management roles at companies such as QBE, Allianz and IAG. “I enjoy the diversity of marine insurance,” says Benjamin. “The intricacies of marine insurance particularly in respect to international trade and applicable laws and regulations, all contributes to every day being unique.”
